Going home is often not an option for the parents of a seriously ill or injured child. The purpose of the Ronald McDonald Family Room is to provide a caring and supportive respite area for families of children who are receiving medical treatment at St. Joseph’s Children’s Health Center. The Ronald McDonald Family Room provides a few of the comforts of home to both local and out-of-town families.
The Family room features a small kitchenette, an eating area, snacks, a shower, washers and dryers, computers, and a TV with VCR and DVD players. The Family room is located on the second floor in the Main Building of St. Joseph’s Children’s Health Center.
Parents and adult family members of Children’s Health Center patients are eligible to use the Ronald McDonald Family Room. The Ronald McDonald Family room is staffed by volunteers and open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Family Room is made possible through RMHC and is supported by St. Joseph’s Children’s Health Center.
